The so-called ‘Zitronenschnitz’, an auxiliary building of Stuttgart Media University, houses the library, lecture halls, and seating areas for students.

At Hochschule der Medien, students in the Social Media Marketing & Management programme benefit from modern, well-equipped facilities tailored to their courses. The programme provides dedicated media labs, seminar rooms, and collaborative spaces that foster creativity, hands-on learning, and teamwork.

State-of-the-art software

Students in the Social Media Marketing & Management programme receive free access to industry-standard creative and productivity software. These tools are available on campus computers, and many can also be installed on personal devices for coursework and project work. Key software areas include:

  • Video and audio editing

  • UI/UX design and prototyping
  • Project management and collaboration

Media production lab

The media production lab is a technology-focused production space dedicated to audio, video, and multimedia creation for students in the Social Media Marketing & Management programme. Equipped with professional, industry-standard hardware and software, the lab enables students to produce high-quality media content as part of hands-on coursework and project-based work. Technical facilities include:

  • Professional audio and video recording equipment
  • Tools for podcasting, interviews, and multimedia production
  • Green screen and professional lighting for studio-based productions
  • Technical support for both course-related and independent student productions

Interactive learning space

The Interactive Lab is a flexible teaching and learning space used for seminars, workshops, and collaborative work in the Social Media Marketing & Management programme. Its adaptable setup supports teaching, group discussions, and independent project work, providing an environment that encourages exchange and focused collaboration. Features include:

  • Flexible seating for seminars, discussions, and group work

The "Lernwelt"

The "Lernwelt" offers 440 m² of flexible study and work space, with individual and group workstations, mobile furniture, walls, and monitors. It can accommodate up to 199 students.

The Technology Pool
