Close collaboration with a wide range of partners from industry, education, and the public sector is highly valued. Whether through projects, excursions, guest contributions, workshops, or joint initiatives, students engage in practical work with external partners and gain current insights into contemporary communication practice.

Enquiries are welcome, and ideas and potential collaboration opportunities are gladly discussed. Please contact:

Collaboration possibilities

You can collaborate with us in the following ways

External partners have the opportunity to collaborate with students on projects in areas such as social media, digital communication, marketing, branding, and media strategy.

Collaborations take place in time-limited projects that students complete under the supervision of professors for external partners. Projects are usually carried out in coordinated teams but may also involve individual tasks. In this way, the programme supports knowledge transfer between academic study and professional practice.

Please note that projects usually start at the beginning of each semester (March/October). If you are interested in a collaboration, please contact us well in advance.

The Social Media Marketing & Management programme welcomes opportunities for students to get to know organisations through excursions. Over the course of the semester, visits to agencies, companies, and institutions, primarily in the Stuttgart region, are planned. Where possible, multi-day excursions with small student groups can be offered, featuring engaging programmes at relevant media locations.

On-site visits are not the only option: virtual excursions are also possible and provide valuable insights into professional practice.

As an English-taught programme, we are particularly keen to collaborate with German international schools (Deutsche Auslandsschulen) as well as international schools abroad. Study counselling is supported through school visits, fairs, information sessions, individual conversations, and the distribution of information material.

We are happy to attend events, provide materials, and engage in dialogue with prospective students, parents, and counsellors.

The programme collaborates with international universities on joint academic projects, courses, and exchange formats. These collaborations support intercultural learning, international teamwork, and global perspectives within the curriculum.

Formats may include joint online projects, blended learning, or short-term academic programmes.

Communication and media professionals from practice are very welcome in our programme. Guest lectures can take place within regular courses and offer students valuable insights into current industry practice, case studies, and professional perspectives.

Guest contributions are encouraged where they enrich teaching and help connect theory with real-world application.

The dynamic and diverse teaching environment regularly offers opportunities to join the programme as a part-time lecturer. External lecturers complement the teaching of our professors with their valuable professional expertise and practical experience.

Interest in teaching assignments is welcomed, and potential contributions are considered on a case-by-case basis.
